‘L2: Empuraan’ release date out! Mohanlal starrer to hit the big screens in March 2025

Finally, the suspense is revealed! The makers of the most awaited Mohanlal starrer ‘L2: Empuraan’ have officially announced the release date of the action drama movie.

Mohanlal took to his official Instagram handle to share a new poster for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial and announced that the movie will be hitting the big screens on March 27, 2025.

Mohanlal’s Instagram note read, “#L2E #EMPURAAN The 2nd instalment of the #Lucifer franchise hits cinemas worldwide on 27th March 2025!” The post also indicates that the movie will be released in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages, making it a pan-Indian action flick.

The post was soon flooded with comments from fans who are marking their days to witness the most awaited Mohanlal starrer on the big screens. One comment read, “Let the son of God come.” Another one commented, “DeviL is Back!”

The newly unveiled poster cleverly hides a mysterious character who is facing the opposite. His shirt holds the mark of a Shanghai Dragon. Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared the release poster for his third directorial venture.

Touted as an action drama movie, ‘L2: Empuraan’ marks the second installment of the superhit film ‘Lucifer’ and the expectations are high. The movie is expected to delve into the back story of Mohanlal’s character Abr’Raam Khureshi.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the script of ‘L2: Empuraan’ is penned by Murali Gopy who also wrote the story for the first part. Sujith Vassudev will be handling the camera for this action flick and the music will be composed by Deepak Dev.
